WHORE

Okay…giving this thing a shot…let’s see how I like it!

“When Things Go Wrong” by Anonymous

When things go wrong, as they sometimes will, When the road you’re trudging seems all uphill, When the funds are low and the debts are high, And you want to smile, but you have to sigh, When care is pressing you down a bit- Rest if you must, but don’t you quit.

Life is queer with its twists and turns, As every one of us sometimes learns, And many a fellow turns about When he might have won had he stuck it out. Don’t give up though the pace seems slow - You may succeed with another blow.

Often the goal is nearer than It seems to a faint and faltering man; Often the struggler has given up When he might have captured the victor’s cup; And he learned too late when the night came down, How close he was to the golden crown.

Success is failure turned inside out - The silver tint in the clouds of doubt, And you never can tell how close you are, It might be near when it seems afar; So stick to the fight when you’re hardest hit - It’s when things seem worst that you must not quit.

…Trying to get the hang of blogging on the regular…
I don’t know about all of you, but this year has really flown by right before our eyes. We are officially half way through the year, and I hope everyone’s year has been a good one so far!
Personally, this year has been one of the best years by far! Everything seems to be falling into place…I got my promotion in April, and still moving forward in my career. It’s so important to keep going after something… Once I accomplish something, I’m on to the next thing, staying motivated the whole way!
My sisters and my parents are also doing very well. They are all moving forward with their careers, and I’m so happy that we are all in California again! Truly blessed that my sister, Murielle, is back home with Danny, safe and sound.
I think I’m at a point in my life where I feel like nothing is unattainable. I feel like I can do anything and that no one can hold me back. It’s such a blessing to have as much confidence and self motivation to succeed in all areas of my life- love, family, and my career. But trust me, this year has also been far from perfect; I think I’ve done a lot of crying and venting for my own good. What sets me apart, however, is that I’m able to look back at those difficult situations and become a better person. I know some of the choices I’ve made have not been the smartest, but I’m the first person to say that everything happens for a reason…every single thing.
*Here’s a picture of one of my most favorite places here in the Bay. Everytime we have clear skies, I try to make it out here and just let it all sink in….*

So this past Friday was Phil, my co-worker’s, last day at San Bruno. He got promoted to Assistant Manager at the Portola Branch where all the inchincs are! I worked with him for three years and he’s taught me mostly everything I know about being a personal banker. Probably one of the best bankers in our market today! lol, no…I’m so proud and excited for him- this is a huge step in his career and I wish him nothing but the best.

With that being said, I realize how important it is to LOVE your workplace. It’s so crucial to enjoy work and the people you work with. You do spend most of your time at work, and you probably see your co-workers more than you see your own family sometimes, right? So you might as well invest your time into something you love to do!

Here’s to everyone’s success and happiness in whatever they are doing now, and all the goals they pursue in the future!

I think I’m finally starting to recognize people in my life WITHOUT drive…and I must say, what a major turn off. I know I’m not the hardest worker ever, but I know good worth ethic when I do (or don’t) see it.

I just need to be around people with the same work ethic. Like for many people, although they don’t like where they’re at or what they’re doin right now, they still give their jobs/work 110%. They see what they want and go after it with FULL FORCE. They don’t half ass and do the absolute minimum to reach their goals. That’s admirable..

So I find myself asking my clients this at work, but it’s a good question to ask yourself from time to time.

“WHERE DO U SEEYOURSELF IN 5 YEARS? 10 YEARS? and HOW do u PLAN to get there?”

If you fail to plan, you plan to fail. And I’m not with that.

Time to grow up, kid.

April Fools, 2010. So my boss was getting everyone the entire day (i.e. she said Mr. Bear was complaining and when we called “Mr. Bear”, we got the SF Zoo..lol) So Sam, Phil, and I decided to play a little trick on her! After having lunch at Araujo’s in San Bruno, we immediately went to Walgreens and bought like 6 rolls of saran wrap! It wasn’t nearly enough to cover her entire car like we wanted, but it worked out well anyway. Needless to say, she was a little shocked, and I think she’s already plotting what to do next year. Lol, I just KNOW she’s gonna get us!
  Gotta love my co-workers!

So here’s my other god son, Aaden. This little cutie is such a good baby! He hardly ever cries, if even a whimper, and he is one of the most gentle babies I have ever held! I know I get a little carried away when I see him…just look at those cheeks, YOU WOULD TOO! He looks like his Stephen (his daddy and my cousin, too) sometimes, but I have to say…he looks like Meg most of the time. Not to mention, he’s so relaxed, quiet, and sweet…like Meg!

It’s so funny how most of my posts are about babies…but don’t get it twisted, folks…my nieces and nephews are all the kids I need right now!

I did this simple editing with my Photoshop Application on my phone, only took me seconds while I was waiting for my food at a restaurant! Multi-tasking…haha, love it!

I changed my theme again- I don’t know why, but I’m never completely satisfied with the themes I choose. We’ll see how long I can keep this one.

So Darrin is gone for four days, and I’m a little sad because I’ll miss him, but I’m happy because I’ll get to spend even more time with my sisters and the rest of my family. Yea, I see them, but I havent been hanging out with them as much as I’d like to. We all have our own busy schedules and the four of us are hardly ever in the same room! I also haven’t had much time to do any scrapbooking lately, and my embellishments are calling me! Plus, I have another project due on Tuesday so I definitely have my hands full this week…

Here’s me and my sisters posing on Thanksgiving 2009. One of the rare times you’ll see us all in a room together! I love them…<3

Thanks to Uncle Christian for my yummy snack! He ate 3 already, guys!
